Where you can find us
You can find us all over Europe. Our headquarters is in Linz, Austria but our employees are located in Croatia, Portugal, Poland, Germany, Ukraine and more. Whether you’re based in the Linz office or working remotely, we live a remote-first culture and make sure everyone has an inspiring work environment.
Your path to Blockpit
We don’t have ninjas, rock stars or gurus. We have individuals with exceptional personalities, skills and an open mindset. What counts for us is your passion and what you bring to the table, nothing else. Our interview processes are designed to find exactly these kinds of candidates.
What we need from you is either a CV or a well maintained LinkedIn profile. You do not need to write a letter of motivation or attach your references. Why you are interested in Blockpit, you can tell us personally in an initial interview.
Our candidates are diverse and so are the interviews. It is difficult to say what you can expect from an interview. Instead, we can tell you what not to expect:
Apply for the job
We want to eliminate the word “apply” from our word usage. We want to get to know you, and we want you to have a chance to get to know us.
Typical interview questions
We don’t ask you about your strengths and weaknesses and where you see yourself in 5 years. Tell us what drives you and what makes your heart beat faster.
A rigid and distant atmosphere
Whether you’re a CEO, Marketing Manager or Software Team Lead – we’re all on a first-name basis. We want you to feel safe and comfortable in our conversations. We want to get to know you, not a polished CV version of you!
We may ask you to prepare a task for the second interview. This is primarily to get to know your way of working and thinking and not to put your skills to the test.
Learn more about the team, the position, the responsibilities and the work processes. Be prepared to describe past projects, explain your working methods and talk about your development expectations. Depending on the position you are applying for, you may already meet some of your potential colleagues.

FAQ
Frequently asked Questions
We live a hybrid culture. This means that although we don’t have a rule about how often you have to come to our office, we make a point of meeting in person from time to time. How often that happens depends on the department. For our devs, it’s about every 9 weeks.
The crucial factor is not citizenship but a valid work permit for the European Union. If this is given: welcome! If not we are sorry, we currently do not have the possibility to carry out visa applications.
This always depends on the country you live in. In Germany we have a tax representation, which means that a normal permanent position is possible there. In other countries we mostly work with freelance contracts. Let’s just find a solution together in the first meeting!
As a remote-first company, we have employees from all over Europe. Our internal company language and the language in which we officially correspond is therefore English. However, since we have many German-speaking employees, it can sometimes happen that meetings take place in German.
Simply use our dedicated position for unsolicited applications. We are looking forward to it!
Depending on the number of positions to be filled, how many applications we receive and interviews we conduct, it can take a little longer. We take the time with each and every candidate to give you as soon as possible a feedback. If you feel like you’ve been waiting a long time for a response, feel free to contact us and ask.
